Meet Ali Montez
Behind the Artist
Upon Ali's move to New York City, she performed in the ensemble of Stephen Sondheim's THE FROGS directed by Ted Sperling, choreographed by Lainie Sakakura, and hosted by Nathan Lane at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
She served as Dance Captain and Swing for the reconstruction of The Verdon Fosse Legacy’s Rich Man’s Frug by Lainie Sakakura at Point Park University, and also performed as a Principal Dancer in Lloyd Culbreath’s reconstruction of The Verdon Fosse Legacy’s Gisela at Steps on Broadway.
Ali has experience modeling for Sheetz, featuring in a wide range of their in-store advertisements, online campaigns, and billboards across the East Coast. Her portfolio features photographs by the renowned photographer and model, Douglas Tjelmeland.

Artist’s biography
Ali began dancing at the age of three, training in a wide range of styles and quickly moving into the competitive dance scene. She honed her skills at Sweatshop Dance and Denver School of the Arts, where she received her pre-professional training.
At just seventeen, Ali launched her professional dance career, performing choreography by Jacob Mora at The National Tributes Award Show at the Colorado Convention Center. She soon joined NRG Dance Project, traveling across the country to assist in training the next generation of dancers, performing, and managing events.
While in school, Ali discovered a profound passion for musical theater, deepening her training with vocal teachers at the Pittsburgh CLO and refining her craft through scene study and on-camera acting workshops and dance short films.
Throughout her career, Ali has had the privilege of training nd collaborating with many esteemed choreographers and artists, including Sarah O'Gleby, Candace Brown, Maud Arnold, Eliza Ohman, Lainie Sakakura, Lloyd Culbreath, Rocker Verastique, Danny Herman, Kiesha LaLama, Kenna Morris Garcia, Jason McDole, Kiki Lucas, Amy Hall Garner and Jessica Lang.
Beyond dance, Ali cherishes documenting memories with loved ones, journaling, exploring new places, enjoying sunsets, comedy, sunflowers, and music. She is committed to continually challenging herself, seeking out new experiences that foster her growth both as an artist and as an individual, on and off the stage.
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Ali is a fighter of the life-threatening disease Cystic Fibrosis, and dances to inspire and raise money for a cure. Her mission is to be a role model for others to live a life they are proud of despite their circumstances.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation
As a part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Ali performed in Disney’s Newsies at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. She is passionate about helping other people's wishes come true, too.
The Legacy Foundation

Ali works with The Legacy Foundation and has appeared on ABC’s The Bachelorette raising awareness for Cystic Fibrosis.
